Wonder What’s Within
Nino Floro, the Senior Manager for Global Marketing Communications at Molecular Devices, is always looking for creative ways to get the right laboratory solution to the right people. In this profile, hear from Niño about how his ideas, encouraged by his mentors, have helped define the way MolDev markets its products, and how he’s now encouraging his team to dream up innovative solutions of their own:
Meet Nino

I joined Molecular Devices 6.5 years ago as the youngest on my R&D team with the most to learn. Professional development and continuous improvement is a big focus for the company, so with support from my manager, I quickly grew my skills and self-esteem, taking on more responsibilities as a result. I was recently promoted to Manufacturing Engineer, which has been both challenging and rewarding. Like most hard things in life, it's made me stronger and I'm excited to accomplish more in the future.
I love my job and the family-like environment it has become. The people are fun, brilliant and from all different backgrounds, making the work place very enjoyable. The leadership team has invested in my own development and career; I really feel I am heard and valued in this company. And last, it's exciting to work within the Biotech field. I feel I am contributing in a small way to the health research that is being done today, it hits close to home as both my parents are cancer survivors.
Experience true teamwork
We believe in winning together. This means supporting associates both inside and outside of the office through team building activities, virtual yoga sessions, sharing of cultures, volunteering for meaningful causes, and more.
