AcuityXpress™ is the cellular informatics software for the Total Imaging Solution from Molecular Devices and it has been specifically designed to address the needs of high content data analysis at an enterprise-level. AcuityXpress shares the MDCStore™ database with MetaXpress™ for seamless integration of image acquisition, image analysis and informatics. As a result, cell-by-cell multi-parametric results are automatically linked with the images and analysis results.

The MDCEarth feature of AcuityXpress brings visualization of high content data to the next level. This unique and groundbreaking tool allows for direct interaction of image and numerical data at all levels and in both directions from the detailed view of the individual high resolution images to the global, high-level view of all of the image data in a large screen.

High-End Curve Fitting
Curve-fitting for IC50 and EC50- calculation can be generated with predefined functions, as well as custom functions with up to 6 independent variables and 24 fitted parameters. A number of search, minimization and weighting methods, and parameter seeding and model comparison are available for the very best fits.
Easy Multi-Parametric Analysis
Because high content data is multiparametric in nature, a number of advanced analysis tools for data mining are easily accessible in AcuityXpress. From K-Means, K-Medians, Hierarchical Clustering to Self-Organizing Maps and more, cells can be clustered by phenotypes and compounds by responses. MDCEarth allows drill down to the original images to validate the results. With MDCEarth, it is also possible to select the image data to analyze specific populations of cells or compounds.
Multiple Visualizations and Statistics
Interactive scatter plots of any measurement against any other, within or between plates can be easily created. The array of statistical data includes Z', p-values, correlation coefficients and principal component scores.
Flexible Database Management and Open API
Interaction with the database is easy and complete. A database API is available to write and read to the database. Creation of complex database queries for data QC is managed through a complete database query wizard. Visualized data can be exported for publication quality images. Annotation can be made plate by plate with the graphical Plate Layout Manager or from text files or through the API.
