Q&A

What stain set is used for live/dead analysis. Is it a product that Molecular Devices sells?

Yes, you can use one of our products or third-party products that use the same viability dyes, which include, Hoechst and Calcien AM, Ethidium Homodimer, MitoTracker, and other apoptotic stains.

How many emission channels does the ImageXpress Confocal HT.ai High-Content Imaging System have?

There are 8 built-in emission channels.

Do you have data on the resolution of the ImageXpress Confocal HT.ai High-Content Imaging System?

We do. It generally follows the resolution of the numerical aperture of the objective and the pinhole size and spacing of the type of spinning disk you’re using. It’s close to what you would expect from the diffraction limit.

How long does it take to train a particular data set on machine learning?

It depends on the difficulty of your sample and number of training images. Do note that the hands-on time is dependent on the image annotation step, you can start with just 5 images. The “training” itself is done by the computer which typically ranges from 30 minutes to multiple hours.

Is SINAP compatible with fluorescent images?

Yes, SINAP is compatible with fluorescent images.

Can you image U-bottom plates?

Yes, you are able to image U-bottom plates.
