Parallel Line Analysis in SoftMax Pro

Meet FDA guidelines in GMP/GLP laboratories—from setting up and analyzing an ELISA assay to more advanced techniques such as parallel line analysis

This four-part webinar series will introduce SoftMax® Pro 7.1.1 GxP Acquisition and Analysis Software and show how easy it is to run your assays and get results both quickly and easily.

Part 1 - How to set up an ELISA assay and perform basic analysis using SoftMax Pro GxP Software

Presenters:
Johannes Pschorr - Senior Applications Scientist BioResearch, Molecular Devices
Simon Lydford - Applications Scientist Manager, Molecular Devices

After a short introduction, you will see a live demonstration of how to use SoftMax Pro GxP Software and the SpectraMax® iD3 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader to set up and acquire data using an example ELISA assay. We will explain the software settings necessary to acquire data before discussing the basics of analysis. We will use an actual data set to introduce data reduction, creating a template and generating a standard curve.

Part 2 - Performing advanced statistical analyses in SoftMax Pro GxP Software

Presenters:
Mark McPate - Applications Scientist, Molecular Devices
Simon Lydford - Applications Scientist Manager, Molecular Devices

You will see a demonstration of some of the more advanced data analysis and statistical features in SoftMax Pro, using the data generated in the first webinar of this series.

We will demonstrate:

  • A data comparison with specified criteria using formulas
  • Validating Pass/Fail criteria
  • Reading off unknowns from a standard curve
  • Flagging wells that show ‘Hits’, e.g. for drug screening.

Part 3 - How to perform a Parallel Line Analysis in SoftMax Pro Software

Presenters:
Caroline Cardonnel - Senior Applications Scientist BioResearch, Molecular Devices
Simon Lydford - Applications Scientist Manager, Molecular Devices

You will see a demonstration of the benefits and use of Parallel Line Analysis (PLA) in SoftMax Pro Software. You will discover how to increase the accuracy of data estimates by using data weighting, PLA for both linear and non-linear curve fitting as well as implementing confidence intervals. We will use data generated in the first and second webinar of this series.
