CA Green Business
At Molecular Devices, we are greatly committed to sustainability and conserving resources. We have worked diligently the past few years and achieved major milestones in cutting down greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous waste, and saved energy, water, fuel, and natural gas usage. As a result, we were officially certified as a California green business on October 24, 2018.
Our Quality Management System is compliant to the requirements of ISO9001 International Standard that enhances our ability to design, develop, manufacture, deliver, maintain and support our products according to the highest quality standards continually and consistently.
We are also ISO/IEC 17025 accredited for validation plate calibration and re-calibration processes for microplate readers. All calibration procedures performed at Molecular Devices comply with the ISO/IEC 17025 criteria.
At Molecular Devices, LLC, our products are RoHS compliant and meet material restriction requirements adopted under European RoHS, Directive 2011/65/EU. This legislation restricts the use of Lead, Cadmium, Mercury, Hexavalent Chromium, Poly-Brominated Bi-Phenyls (PBB), and Poly-Brominated Di-Phenyl Ethers (PBDE) in products that are put on the market in EU member countries.
Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive and implementing regulations, when customers buy new electrical and electronic equipment from Molecular Devices they are entitled to:
- send old equipment for recycling on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis (this varies depending on the country)
- send the new equipment back for recycling when this ultimately becomes waste
Instructions to both customers and recyclers/treatment facilities wishing to obtain disassembly information are found on the WEEE Information page.
