IMAP Red Dyes
In cases where a compound library has a high level of auto fluorescence, use of red-labeled substrates can reduce
fluorescence interference. In addition, red-labeled substrates
can be used in combination with green-labeled substrates for
multiplexing.
IMAP has been shown to work with a wide variety of red dyes. Some examples are Cye3b and Cye5 from Amersham, Alexa
dyes, cAMP from Perkin Elmer/Molecular Probes, and several California Dyes from Biosearch. However, MDC decided to
focus on TAMRA as the preferred red dye for its excellent performance and its universal availability.
