Many cell-based applications, including calcium flux assays, cell-based ELISAs, and others require gentle but thorough washing of cells in order to ensure cell retention and optimal assay performance. The new cell wash head for AquaMax® 2000/4000 plate washers from Molecular Devices uses angled pins to dispense fluid and takes advantage of adjustable dispense and aspiration rates and heights to minimize the disruption of even weakly adherent cells on standard tissue culture plastic ware.
Find out how the new AquaMax cell wash head can help you optimize your cell-based assays.
We will demonstrate:
- >95% retention of weakly adherent HEK293 cells on a standard tissue culture microplate surface after washing with the new AquaMax cell wash head
- Calcium flux assay performance of CHO-M1 cells washed with the cell wash head, with Z' factors and EC50 values comparable to those of hand-washed cells
- How the AquaMax 2000/4000 microplate washer enables you to optimize washing of even your most difficult cell types
