How to determine which version of Molecular Devices software is installed on your computer?

  • MetaXpress (from within MetaXpress): Go to Help/About/MetaXpress
  • AcuityXpress (from within AcuityXpress): Go to Help/About
  • MDCStore™ data management solution (from within MetaXpress): Go to Help/About
  • MDCStore™ data management solution (from within AcuityXpress): Go to Help/About
  • FileServer: Go to START/PROGRAMS/MOLECULAR DEVICES/MDC FILE SERVER and start the MDC file server application
  • MetaXpress® PowerCore™ software: Go to Help/About

ATTENTION: Upgrading the AcuityXpress, MetaXpress or MetaXpress® PowerCore™ software to a higher version may require a database upgrade as described in the table below. A database back-up is strongly recommended before downloading any update or upgrade. Please consult your IT department about upgrading existing databases.

Molecular Devices is not responsible for damage to existing user data that could happen due to network problems, power failure, and unexpected termination of the MDCStore database.

Please consult an information technology professional, such as a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize the database for your facility according to your company's guidelines. For customers without access to DBAs, Molecular Devices advises hiring a database consultant. The instructions provided with Molecular Devices documentation for Oracle database and Microsoft SQL are offered for guidance only.

Oracle and Microsoft SQL are not products of Molecular Devices. Please contact the appropriate software vendor with any questions about the installation, security and operation of these programs.
